HMI Development by innovation mecom – with design and usability to the automobile of the future

In the field of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), innovation mecom offers expertise for efficient cooperation with automobile manufacturers and automotive suppliers. The HMI development of innovation mecom comprises the graphic design up to the technical programming of the user interfaces. This enables a fully comprehensive service in the conception and implementation of virtual cockpits. As a reference for the successful cooperation in the automotive sector, we present the Bosch Showcar, which has been exhibited at the international trade fair Consumer Electronics Show (CES) since 2016 with a Virtual Cockpit designed and programmed by innovation mecom.

The conception and implementation of the HMI modules is carried out according to the customer’s wishes, holistically and optimally adapted to all technical, graphic and haptic requirements. The requirement and target group specific HMI development has highest priority, because the HMI represents the most important interface between man and machine.

The technical implementation and programming of all graphic representations of virtual cockpits are also among the competencies of innovation mecom. The HMI system communicates with the user through eye and gesture sensors. The technical focus of the virtual cockpits is on the rapid evaluation of the sensors and the analysis of user feedback in real time. To control the hardware, innovation mecom relies on the flashbeam engine v8 developed specifically for this purpose, which, for example, enables real-time 3D animations within a network cluster.
